Pipe Leak Repair Built for Irving’s Aging Supply Lines

A pipe leak is a different animal from a dripping faucet, because the break is in the water line itself, behind a wall, over a ceiling, or beneath a finished surface where it stays out of sight while it works. In the older South Irving neighborhoods around Plymouth Park, the Heritage District, and Belt Line Road, many homes still run original copper or galvanized that has corroded internally over decades of service. The U.S. Geological Survey notes that corrosive water can degrade metal pipe and lead to leaks over time.

North of LBJ, the newer Las Colinas and Valley Ranch homes mostly run copper or PEX. PEX holds up well against scale and corrosion, but its fittings, crimp rings, and material transitions can still fail. In the end, most of what we repair is a pinhole, a failed joint, or a fitting that has started to weep.
