Dripping faucet doesn’t seem like a big deal at first. Just a few drops hitting the sink every minute. But those drops add up fast—hundreds of gallons a month going straight down the drain.
Beyond the water waste, leaks cause other problems we see all the time around Dallas. Mineral deposits build up where water drips constantly. Corrosion starts around the base. Water gets under the faucet and damages your countertop or cabinet underneath.
Usually, it’s worn washers or cartridges inside that need replacing. Sometime,s it’s high water pressure wearing out seals faster than normal. Our hard water here doesn’t help either—mineral buildup accelerates wear on internal parts.
We handle faucet repair in Dallas, TX, every week. Fix the leak, stop the waste, and you’re done worrying about it.
We fix leaky faucets all over Dallas. Been doing it since 2013, so we’ve seen pretty much every type of faucet problem there is.
Steady drip? Low water flow? Handle that’s loose or hard to turn? We figure out what’s causing it and fix it. Could be a worn washer, could be a bad cartridge, could be mineral buildup from our hard water, could be a loose connection. We check everything until we find it.
Work on kitchen faucets, bathroom faucets, outdoor hose bibs—all of them. Single-handle, double-handle, pull-down sprayers, the fancy touchless ones, whatever you’ve got.
Sometimes it’s a quick fix. Sometimes it makes more sense to replace the whole faucet. We’ll tell you honestly which way makes sense for your situation.
Been fixing faucets around Dallas since 2013, so we’ve seen pretty much every type there is. Each one breaks down a little differently.
Compression faucets—those are the old-style ones with separate hot and cold handles. Nine times out of ten, they need new washers or valve seats. That’s just what wears out over time and causes the drip. Usually a pretty quick fix.
Cartridge faucets have this cartridge inside that controls the water flow. When it gets worn out, you’ll notice leaks or the handle starts getting stiff and hard to turn. We pull out the old cartridge, drop in a new one, and it works like it’s brand new.
Ceramic disc faucets are supposed to last longer than other types, and they do. But the seals still wear out eventually—nothing lasts forever. When they go bad, you get drips or water pressure drops. Replacing the seals takes care of it.
Single-handle faucets, where you move the whole handle around in different directions—those use either a ball valve or cartridge system inside. When they start leaking, we replace the internal parts. Sometimes we can rebuild it, sometimes we just swap the whole cartridge, depending on what your specific model needs and what parts are available.
Pull-down kitchen faucets are a bit more complicated because they’ve got the sprayer built in. The hose inside wears out from being pulled up and down all the time. Connections can develop leaks. That docking thing, where the sprayer head clicks back into place, gets loose. We’ve replaced all those parts plenty of times, so we know what typically fails and how long it takes to fix.
If your faucet’s relatively new and just needs a washer or cartridge, repair makes sense. Fix costs less than replacement and you’re done in under an hour usually.
But if your faucet’s old and corroded, or it’s leaking from multiple spots, or the finish is shot and parts are hard to find, replacement’s probably smarter. We’ve been to houses where we spent time tracking down obscure parts for discontinued faucets. Sometimes it’s just not worth it.
Cracked faucet bodies can’t be repaired. Neither can badly corroded valves or bases. At that point you’re looking at replacement.
We’ll tell you straight which makes sense. Sometimes we can fix it for $50 in parts and an hour of work. Sometimes spending $200 on a new faucet beats spending $150 trying to repair one that’s going to have another problem next month.
If you’re replacing an old faucet or want to upgrade, we handle the installation. You can pick out what you want, or we can suggest options based on what we’ve seen hold up.
Remove the old faucet, clean up the area, install the new one. Connect supply lines, test for leaks, make sure handles move smoothly and water flow’s good. Usually takes an hour or two depending on the setup.
Kitchen faucets with sprayers take a bit longer because there are more connections. Bathroom faucets are generally quicker.
Sometimes the holes in your sink or counter don’t match the new faucet. We can work around that or help you pick something that fits what you’ve got.
New faucets often have better flow restrictors that save water without you noticing any difference in pressure. Some come with ceramic disc cartridges that last way longer than old compression-style internals.
